When I opened our restaurant, I had to take a steep learning curve in all things air conditioning. Actually I had to co-design systems to fit into the building in which experienced climate experts say that's impossible!
We ended up installing a packaged unit. (justified), a small device embedded capacitors, air and take off, all within one unit (instead of the traditional split system)
Being in the restaurant and commercial situation, which is visited by the public I quickly learned how much fresh air of the building is required by law. Any forced air (whether it is cooling, heating, ventilation or clean) must provide the general public (and yourself) with plenty of fresh air per square meter (the guidelines are set different for each country)
Not only that, but the air conditioning system are the number one carrier of viral infections and diseases, if left unmaintained. It is of utmost importance to make sure the system is clean at all times and delivering fresh healthy air.
even if you've been in a situation where you feel more run down that often, as if your immune system is lower than it should be, or breathing air that trigger asthma well May you find that its time to is the air conditioning system checked.
for piece of mind is worth it just to be sure that the system is wet and wearing too much dust as a combination of the two in a forced air system can be an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. This obviously is not good for your health what so ever.
